The new superintendent will begin his/her work on July 1, 2012.

This forum is an opportunity for all members of our extended community to meet finalists and provide the Board with your perceptions of these individuals. We value your input into this very important selection process. An assessment form will be provided to allow us to collate your opinions and include them in our decision-making process. We hope to conclude the search and appoint our next Superintendent of Schools by end of February. Please join our school community by participating in this important forum.


This far, the following steps have been taken:

  1. The ANESU Board hired Dr. Raymond Proulx to oversee the process.

  2. The Board asked Associate Superintendent Nancy Cornell, and Robinson School Principal Dan Noel, to be facilitators in the process and to help with coordination.

  3. Solicited volunteers for a screening committee that consistent of...
    • 2 community members
    • 2 students
    • 4 school board members
    • 2 administrators/facilitators
    • 2 support staff members, and
    • 3 teachers

  4. The screening committee...
    • read through all documentation for the 18 candidates who applied for the post.
    • invited 6 candidates to participate in the interview process
    • interviewed the 4 of the 6 candidates who proceeded in the process
    • invited the 3 finalists to participate in visits to our schools and communities.
