We are an “ad-hoc” group of volunteers who are currently working work to connect Lincoln residents with the resources they need to make their homes warm and energy efficient. Our committee can provide on-site assistance in assessing the critical energy-related needs of your home and help connect you with appropriate resources.

Lincoln Community Woodbank (details)
The Lincoln Energy Committee provides limited quantities of firewood for Lincoln residents who find themselves in short-term, urgent need.

Burnable wood is also set aside at the Transfer Station on Downingsville Road.

Forest Service Wood Harvesting Permits
The Forest Service in Middlebury sells annual permits for down and dead wood. $20/cord.

Seasonal Fuel Assistance Program (details)

a.	This service helps low-income families pay a portion of their home heating bills.
b.	Those who heat with wood must use a firewood dealer certified with the state program.
