Deadline to get an article on the Town Meeting Agenda
You must submit a petition to the Town Clerk, with at least 50 signatures of people registered to vote in Lincoln. Blank petitions are available HERE and in hard copy at the Town Office. If you need help with this, please ask Sally or our Town Meeting Moderator, Will Sipsey, to be sure that the wording of your petition is in the affirmative and will work properly for voting. (Make sure it is a yes/no question, not a multiple choice, for example.) |

| January 30 |
Deadline to get your name on the ballot for the Town Meeting Election
You will also need to submit a consent form, to allow the Clerk to put your name on the ballot. Ballot petitions must have at least 10 signatures of registered voters, and should be submitted to the Town Clerk. Although State Law gives you until January 30, we greatly appreciate it if you could get your petitions in by January 20th, to help us meet deadlines for publishing the Town Report. Blank petitions and consent forms are also available in hard copy outside the door of the Town Office.

| February 29 |
Deadline to register to vote in the Town Meeting/Presidential Primary Election on March 6th
If you are already a registered voter, you do not need to do anything except show up to vote. If you are uncertain whether your name is on the voter checklist in Lincoln, please reply to this e-mail or call the Town Clerk's Office at 453-2980. Copies of the current voter checklist will be posted at the Lincoln General Store and at the Clerk's Office in early February. To register to vote, come to the Lincoln Town Office during regular hours (listed below) or call to make an appointment. |
